The Jiří Bělohlávek Donor Fund

Established by Jiří Bělohlávek's family within the Foundation for the Development of the Czech Philharmonic, the fund cares for the legacy of this distinguished conductor and supports the areas of music to which he devoted himself. It focuses primarily on developing young talents through scholarships, the purchase and lending of instruments, and support for projects and awards.

The fund was created in March 2024 on the initiative of Jiří Bělohlávek's family, in particular his wife, Mrs. Anna Fejérová. It is administered as a donor fund of the Foundation for the Development of the Czech Philharmonic, and its purpose is to help preserve the artistic and human legacy of Jiří Bělohlávek, former chief conductor of the Czech Philharmonic, and to support the areas of the music world in which the conductor was active.

The fund's resources will be used in particular to purchase and lend musical instruments, to provide scholarships, as prizes and awards, as a contribution toward the realization of a specific artistic or cultural project, and as a contribution toward supporting the activities of an artistic, cultural, or educational organization.

The Jiří Bělohlávek Donor Fund focuses its activities chiefly on supporting talented young musicians. Decisions on awarding foundation grants and support are made by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Development of the Czech Philharmonic, on the recommendation of the grant committee of the Jiří Bělohlávek Donor Fund.
